(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day. . The course .is very heavy and the surrounding hills are sprinkled with snow. The work this morning was done on the outside of the course proper. A large number of horses wqrked, but few against tho watch. ' Tholonton and Luthy finished together over four furlongs in 59sec. Tai'leton ran four-furlongs in 56sec, the fastest half-mile of the morning. Hoylake ran half a mile in 60sec easily. Hard Prince jumped five schooling hurdles well in 2min 2aec, the last four in lrain 25sec. This was one of the best performances of the week. - Paper Boy went four furlongs nicely in SBsec. Doleful Ditty covered the same distance in 58 3-ssec. Scion schooled over two hurdles well with Adjutor. Cassolette beat Solzia over five furlongs in lmin 14sec. Ophir ran six furlongs in lmin 32 ■cc. Radiac jumped three big fences well, but rather extravagantly. Vice Grand beat Dubious over a circuit on the flat. Celerity 11, beat Lava and Fairy Herald over four furlongs in SSsec by soy- ' eral lengths. The English mare is very well. Wingatui was too good for Lady Trac- ■ tor over five furlongs. Wharneliffe easily beat Relic over ' seven furlongs, and must have a chance 1 in the Jumpers' Flat. ' Arrowmir went a good half-mile, do- ' ing the last three furlongs in 46 l-ssec. ' Set Sail, picked up by Bilbo after go--1 ing a furlong, ran six'furlongs in lmin 1 30sec. This was the best gallop of the ' morning, as the mare had a good weight : up. ; ■■■ >
