(Speclil v to "The Evening Po»t") AUCKLAND, 28ti May An unexpected arrival at Auckland early yesterday was H.M.B. I*burnum which returned to land a member of the crew who was severely injured in an eye. The warship left Auckland on Wednesday on a five months' cruise to the South Sea Islands. The first port of call was Suva, and she was over 150 miles from Auckland when the accident happened and, when it was seen how serious the man's injury was, the warship's course was altered and she set out for, Auckland. Advice regarding the accident was .wirelessed to Auckland, and when the Laburnum reached port she was met by a launch from the Philomel.
