INTEBESTING WORK AT ELLERSLIE

WET COURSE AT WINGATUI

, AUCKLAND, This Bay. The weather was fine for training work at Ellerslid this morning. No 1 grass, track was open for fast work. After breakfast the hurdles on the course proper were available, also the steeplechase course. Before breakfast Gala Day ran six furlongs in lmin 28 l-ssec Beau Cavalier, Harei-a, Charlady, ana others were given steady work. _( After breakfast Bennannee did six furlongs in lmin 22 3-osec. ! • Town Guard and Judge's Box finished together over seven furlongs in lmin 37 2-ssec. ■ ■* . _ Sun Up and Areheen galloped five furlongs in lmin 7 3-ssec. _ Glomint, after starting slowly, got to the end of seven furlongs in lmin 42 3-ssec. Degage did a similar distance in lmin 34 3-ssec. Passionate finished in front of Cawn pore and Killute over seven furlones in lmin 40sec. Master Doon beat King of the Air over a round, covered in 2min 10.2-ssec Glenotus, Glenlight, and Blue Sky did a round in 2min 12 2-ssec. Glenlight was in front at the finish. : THE JUMPERS. Eoyal Form and Zircon were sent over J. our hurdles, finishing about on terms.: \ They afterwards" went over the fences on the flat, giving a fair display. Archibald (Henderson) jumped four hurdles on the course proper nicely. Kawini easily beat Karamu over five hurdles. ' ' Day Bell pleased better than Kamehameha over five hurdles. ! Tall Timber and Eahepoto were together in front of■ Lord Bruce and Comet King over four hurdles. Anchor easily beat Lupineel over four hurdles, and Fair Abbey and Clockwork went over five hurdles, finishing together. ■■'.'■ "•'.'■■• Passin' Through, tTdki, Fireblight, and Bayo set out over the big fences on the flat, Tuki finishing in front of Passin' Through. Fireblight was next, and Rayo, who jumped very poorly, was a long way .back. Omahu, Comical, and Maunga set out on a similar journey. ' Comical did not jump the water jumps well and lost a lot of ground, eventually stopping at the first fence at the top of the hill.
