(By Telegraph.) (Special to -‘The Evening Post.”) AUCKLAND, This Day. -A. Lucas, who last season played for Y.M.C.A. and distinguished himself by several sensational displays of goal-keep-ing, is now in the Hamilton district. Lucas, by a strange train of circumstances, was unable to get a game in any of the senior teams in Auckland and he ultimately played hockey as a goalkeeper. However, lie is expected to turn out next weekend for the Frankton Railways team, and will also be an acquisition to the) South Auckland representatives when they, come to defend tlie Brown Shield. Lucas’s transfer will come before the Auckland Football Association on Tuesday, when it is understood that no objection will he raised.
