LONI)ON, 13th May, The Marchwness of Aberdeen, = who presided at a Salvation Army function in Aberdeen, related how years ago while visiting New Zealand, a Salva^ tion Army major proposed marriage. "I was prowling about the Salvation. Army barracks on Sunday morning and got talking to 'the major about" the Army's work. He said that he had great difficulty in getting a life partner to assist in Army work, I had the greatest difficulty in assuring. him that I was in the unqualified position of laving a husband and family. I offered to introduce my husband, but never saw; the major any more."
