PERSONAL MATTERS
A motion of sympathy with the relatives of Mr. A*r Edwards, a former councillor, who died recently, was passed at last evening's meeting of the Hutt County Council, members standing in silence.
Mr. P. B. Sheather, managing director of P. B. Sheather and Co., Ltd., for Australia and New Zealand, is at present on a visit to Wellington, and will leave for Auckland on.Wednesday on his return to Australia.
Lieutenant-Colonel B. C. Froyb'erg (Grenadier Guards), who has acted as tho representative of the New Zealand Council on the.Eoyal Life-Saving Society in London, has resigned that position, as ho is unable to attend the meetings of the Central Executive, on account of his many other duties.
