♦ WORLD'S RECORD CLAIMED (United Press Association.—Copyright.) SYDNEY, 14th March. The Ladies' Swimming Association intends to apply to the Amateur International Swimming federation to have Miss Davies's time, 3min 54 4-ssec, in Saturday's 300 yds swim, recorded as a world's record. The present record of 3min 58 2-ssec, stands to the credit of Miss Ederle.
