HOCKEY
REFEREES' ASSOCIATION
There was a good attendance at the annual meeting of the Wellington Hockey Referees' Association, held last evening in the V.M.C.A. Mr. C. Falconer presided. -Llio balance-sheet showed a small credit over working expenses. A considerable amount of correspondence was dealt with. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—President, Mr. B. Ginger-vice-president, Messrs. A. Edwards, C. Falconer, C. .Whyte; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. R. Lloyd; appointment committee, Messrs. W. Scott, C. Whyte, R. Lloyd; delegate to Wellington Hockey Association, Air. R. Watchman; delegate to Wellington Ladies' Hockey Association, Mr. W. Scott; delegates to New Zealand Hockey Referees' Association, Messrs. A. Edwards, B. Ginger; examination committee, Messrs. H. Hatch, C. Falconer, B. Ginger; executive, Messrs. B. Ginger, R. Lloyd, W. Scott, C. Whyte. A suggestion that public 'lectures should be given to players on the finer points of tho game was deferred to a futuro meeting for consideration.
The following addition was made to the rules: "That where a player is ordered oft or reported, the offending player nnd the referee shall appear at the next meeting of the Wellington Hockey Association."
A vote of thanks was accorded to the retiring officers.
