CHANG'S ARMY IN ACTION

PEKIN, 13tU March, lhe forces of Chang Tso-lin fought a fierce night-long battle in a heavy snowstorm against semi-independent Honamtes at Hangchuang, between Kaiieng and Chengehow. The Chans Tso-lin -army materially advanced, holding the railway station at Chung-Wa-Hsien. Further progress is likely to be checked by dolay in the arrival of reinforcements from Mukden where the worst snowstorm for forty years is interrupting communications
