STEWART DAWSON'S DAMAGED
(United Preu . Association.—Copyright.) MELBOUENE,. 13th March. Damage to the extent of £15,000 to £20,000 was the result of a firo in. a building at the corner of Collins and Swanston streets.
The main occupants of- tho building were Stewart Dawson (jewellers), the city depot of the nowspaper "Argus," and the Amateur Sports Club. Two women trapped within the building and two men who rushed to their assistance had to bo removed- by fire brigade ladders. Another man clung to a ledge on the top floor till rescued by firemen.
