EMPRESS THEATRE.
Both pictures at the popular Empress Ineatre have a boxing atmosphere. One stars Monte Blue and Patsy Ruth Miller Louise Fazenda, and Willard Louis, and £S, tltle 5? "H°san' 3 Alley." The other "Blarney," features Ralph Graves, Renee Adoree, and Paulette Duval, a new khid of screen vampire Monte Blue essays the role of. a young Irish pugilist, thd idol of^the^ alley, wio sacrifices his chance for fistic honours, for the sake of his g£l I pigtailed heroine. It is a tale of the Bow °ry,;.and_siich old iaces as those of Jamea Jeffries, Tommy Ryan, and "Kid" Lewis are recognised in some of the scenes. In "Blarney" is unfolded a tale of the prize fighting. Irish boy becomes American champion, and the object of the chase on tuc part of a certain type of worthless women who track idols :p£ the public bo that their reflected notoriety may come to them : The supporting programme is excellen^ and there .is delightful'music by Aliss Edwards's Orchestra.
