GIRL GUIDES' SPORTS
There was a good attendance at the Girl Guides' annual swimming sports on Saturday afternoon at the Te Aro ladies' baths. Special mention must be made of the splendid help given by members of the Island Bay Surf Club and Wellington Swimming Centre. The Wellington Sen tre presented a handsome trophy for the junior championship. Miss Patterson kindly presented the prizes. Results were as follow:—Senior championship (Mrs. A. Duncan's Silver Cup), M. M'Crae 1, P. Hilkie 2; junior championship (Swimming Centre's trophy), N. Lyon 1, N. Kobb 2; 25yds, 11 years, J. Purnus 1, G. Sandi lands 2; 25yds, 12 years, B. Tonks 1, M. Cooper 2; 50yds, 13 years, K. Lyon 1. I. Norris 2; 50yds, 14 years, G. Ewen 1, K. Wood 2; 75yds, 15 years, M. M'Crae 1, ,P. Hilkie 2; learners' race, D. Hawthorne 1, W. Crawford and A Tenner.
