SHOOTING ACCIDENT
(By Telegraph. -Presa Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, 13th March. On Saturday night between 9 anj 10 Edward James Brownie, aged 55, Fitzgerald avenue, was. admitted to the Cliristchurch Hospital suffering from a, bullet wound in the right of his chest. His account of the incident given whoa the police interviewed him was that he was cleaning a pea rifle, unaware that it was loaded, when the cartridge exploded. --«— ■ ._.
