YOUTH DEFIES POLICE
(Special to " t Th« Evening Pott.") . CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Douglas Alox. Robertson Young (20), got under a rope in High street on Saturday afternoon when- the Royal procession -was about five chains away, and adopted an attitude of defiance to Constable Fallon, who ordered the youth to keep behind the rope. The youth replied that he had as much right to the road as anyone and refused. He was put under arrest by the constable. . We pride ourselves on the maintenance of law and order/ said Mr, E. D. Mosley to Robertson to-day, "and you should have observed it, especially when a representative of His Majesty the King is here. You should know that the police had every right to keep the road clear and that they must be obeyed. You will be fined £3, iii default seven days' imprisonment, but you will be allowed 48 hours in which; to pay."
