The death occurred yesterday, at Mangaroa, of Mr. Bpbert Edwards, in his 89th year. ..Tho Lite Mr. Edwards who had engaged in farming, iii the Ugper Hutt district 'or many years, retired from active work about twenty years ago, the farir. being taken over by his eldest' 'son, Alfred, who is still resident there. The late Mr. Edwards is survived by'his widow, two sons, arid four d'aujghters; all residents in the Wellington district. The funeral - will take'place at Treritham to^inorrow.

The funeral of the late Mr. Frank Kebbell. son of the late Dr. Mark Kebbell, one of ,the earliest medical men ,o£. Wellington, took ' place yesterday mornirig at the Bolton Street Cemetery.^ There were present a nuriibor of old friends, including members of thi? Wellington Club, of which ho was a memjisr. The chief mourner was Mr. Mark Kebbell (brother).. The late Mr. FrankvKebbell was a tennis enthusiast in ■■ his younger days, and on one occasion won the championship of the Thorndon-Tennis Club. He was honorary secretary of that club for a/number of years, and, in consideration of his.-valued,services, .was.-elected a-life-jnember. . Th« Yen. Archdeacon Johnson, of SI.
