LONG RIDE CONCLUDED ON FOOT
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMBBSTON N., This Day. Mr. G. N. Bell, who set out from Auckland over n week ago to ride to Palmerston North, arrived on foot late yesterday- afternoon. He had to run from Wanganui owing to an injury to his horse. He delivered a message from the Mayor of Auckland congratulating Palmorston North on the occasion of its jubilee. Mr. Bell left Auckland with nothing in his pockets, and lived on charity all tho way.
