ANGRY MINERS

BALDWIN DEMONSTRATION

LABOUR PAPER'S COMMENT

(United Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 4th March, 8 a.m.)

LONDON, 3rd March. The Cwm miners angrily demonstrated against the Prime Minister (Mr. Baldwin) and his wife, when they visited the scene of the disaster. They shouted at tho Prime Minister, "Why don't you go down the mine yourself?"

The "Daily Herald" editorially describes tho Baldwin demonstration as a painful incident. The motives of Mr. Baldwin and his wife in visiting the scene of grief were kindly, and the human personal sorrow was manifest and evident, but to the people of Cwm the present was linked with the past. The Prime Minister's part in the lockout was remembered, hence the outburst of feeling.
