KING'S THEATRE.

A story describing the early settlement ot Canada is the theme for "The Flanimg Forest," which is the main attraction at the King's Theatre in the change of programme screened for the first time last night. The . picture is of historical interest, as.it describes the terrible hardships suffered by early pioneers of Northern - Canada. It graphically describes the -tyrannies practised on one or two English families, and after the deaths of the leading citizens of the settlement, the white population is driven from its homes! Then the North West' Mounted Police come into the picture. This fine body of men rides, thousands of miles into the troubled area, and reaches the settlement just in time to save the whites from a fate worse than death. The disloyalists, however, are not satisfied, and incite the Indians to further maraudering. While portion of the police are away, the redskins attack the settlement, and as the whites are making their last stand, one of the number braves death and breaks through the lines of the enemy to bring help. There is a satisfactory conclusion. Renee Acloree takes the leading feminine part, and Antonio Moreno that of the hero. There is a good supporting programme, including choice music. '
