LODGE MEETINGS.

The quarterly summoned meeting of Loyal Antipodean Lodge of Oddfellows, Manchester Unity, was held last Tuesday, Bro. C. H. Hicks, N.G., presiding over a good attendance. One new member was Initiated, Bro. A. Wainwright, 1.P.N.G., delivering the initiation charge, and Bro. A.-Hunter, P.G., lecture master, the address.' Three proposals for membership were received. The following were elected delegates to the annual district conference, to be held at Levin in March:— Bros. A. C. Blair and G. Read, P.D.G.M.'s, Bros. G. W. Guise, H. Dormer, E. Wells, and D. Parnell, P.G.'s. Bro. J. J. Jfead, P.D. G.M., was elected as an emergency delegate. Bro. W. I. Clark, P.P.G.M., was elected as lodge trustee to flll the vacancy caused by the death of his father (Bro. I. C. Clark). A donation of £5 5s was voted to the fund in connection with the appeal for the babies' homo fund, and £30 was voted to assist distress cases among the lodge members and in connection with an appeal from Wairarapa. The social committee reported that the celebration of the lodge's 80th anniversary will be commemorated by a social gathering.. After they adjournment, refreshments and harmony were indulged in.

The quarterly meetinß of Loyal Petone Lodge of Oddfellows, Manchester Vnity, was hold last Thursday evening,'' when Bro. C J. Pritchard, N.G., presided. Bro. J. Arcus P.G., was elected as delegate to attend the District Conference to be held in Levin-in place of Bro. A. A. Hope, wlio could not attend on account of illness. The first official visit of all town and suburban lodges took place, when a large number of representatives were present. Officers and members of the Past Grands Lodge were also present. .' The N.G., Bro. Pritchard, extended a hearty welcome and extended lodge honours Bro. H. Dormer, P.G., and President of the Past Grands Lodge, briefly replied Hepresentatives of other lodges also replied. Bro. G. Emmerson, P.G., of Loyal Timaru Lodge was present. Bro. A. Perrin, P.P.G.M.j gave an interesting account of early Ritual work in connection with Oddfellows lodges The lodge then adjourned, and dancing and supper was indulged in.
