BRITANNIA THEATRE.
The seven finalists in First National's Screen Star Quest are appearing for the last time to-night at the Britannia Theatre. Each of the finalists appears on the stage in a playlet entitled "Afternoon Tea," and are also to be seen on the soreen in a series of actual screen tests. The winner (who will be announced tonight) leaves Wellington at an early date to compete in the Dominion finals at Auckland." "The Isle of Retribution" and-Lloyd Hughes in /'Pals First" are being finally screened to-night. Commencing to-mor-row, Ben Lyon and May M'Avoy in "The Savage" will be the attraction. It is full of sparkling humour and calls for an intriguing variety 6i scenery. In order to play a hoax on a scientific expedition sponsored by a rival magazine, Ben Lyon disguises himself as a "white savage," the very prize for which the hunters are seeking. The search takes them down into' the tropical jungles. Then the "white savage" is capWred after he pursues the scientists on the back of a mammoth, brontosaurus. . "Trigger _ Fingers," the other . attraction, is a quick-«iction story interpreted by Bob Custer, new F. 8.0. western star, who ' has come straight from the unfenced Texas Range to the confines of a motion picture lot. The supports are excellent. '■'-.■ ;
