CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS

The game for the Champion Singles of the Wellington Centre are to be played on the Thorndon Club's green on Wednesday; next commencing at 9 a.m. As there are seventeen entries, it has been found necessary to declare seven byes and have only one game in the first round. For that game Victoria and Karori have been drawn against one another. The draw for the second round is as follows:—Winner of first round v. Seatoun; Upper Hutt v. Thorndon; Khandallah v. Hutt; Central v. Petone; Lyall Bay v. Newtown; Johnsonville v. Kelburn; Island Bay v. Eastbourne; Wellington v. "Hataitai. In order to avoid playing on rink ends, the eight competitors last mentioned will commence playing the second round at 9 a.m., together with the two clubs which did not draw the bye.

There are the- sariie number of entries for the Champion Pairs, which are to be decided on the Hataitai Club's green on 23rd February. The draw is similar '.tp' that of the singles, inasmuch as there 13 only one game to be played in the first round—the Hataitai and Eastbourne Clubs. The remainder of the dray is as follows (to commence at 11 a.m.):—Winner of game mentioned v. Khandallah; Thorndon v. Newtown; Kelburn,v. Central; Wellington v. Island Bay; (to commence at 9 a.m.): Seatoun -V. Hutt; Upper Hutt v.^Victoria; Karori y, Lyall Bay; Petone v. Johnsonville.

The draw for the champion rinks to be played at Victoria on 2nd March is as follows:—First round: Potone v. Kelburn; second round (to be played at 11 a.m.): Winner v, Newtown; Eastbourne v. Island Bay; Lyall Bay v. Hutt; Khandallah v. Johnsonville; (to start at T) a.m.): Karori v. Victoria; Seatoun 1 v. Wellington;.. Central v. Ha: taitai; 'Upper Hutt v. Thorndon.
