WELLINGTON PRESBYTERY
The monthly meeting of the "Wellington Presbytery was held last evening, the Rev. B. Crocket presiding. The moderator stated that the Rev. J. R. Blanchard, of Perth, .Western Australia, who had'accepted a call to St. John's Church, will arrive in Wellington on 15t.'i March. The date of his induction was fixed for 17th March. Mention, was made of the desire for the appointment of a minister to Muritai, and it was decided that, a committee of the Presbytery should visit the district shortly, when the matter will bo considered with local residents. ■ An application was received from Miss Nelson, Miramar, for ordination as deaconess in the home mission field. Miss Nelson has completed her studies at Dunedin. "it was resolved to comply with the request, and fix a date for the ordination.
