DE LUXE THEATRE.

"Spangles" is being shown at the De Luxe Theatre.' Tho story is centred round life in Al. G. Barnes's famous American circus, in which a girl nicknamed "Spangles" is the star bareback rider. The plot contains a love triangle, more interesting than usual, and there is an elephant, a huge, bad monster, which plays a very prominent part in the solution of a problem which at first looks unsolvable. Marian Nixon, Pat O'Malloy, and Herbert Bosworth are the leading players, supported by a number of very expert circus performers. On the programme is also an International News, giving scenes of Sir Alan Cobham's return to London, as well as interesting pictures of the United States navy, while the comedy is one of Buster Browns funniest efforts. The Orchestra De Luxe, under the leadership of Miss A. Bryers, plays a selection from "The Fortune Teller" (Herbert) as the overture, and Leon Jessel's "Parade of the Tin Soldiers" as the. entr'acte. «S.P ARROWS." Mary Pickford, commencing next Friday at the De Luxe Theatre, with a monster matinee on Saturday at 2.30, will be seen in the characteristic role which has endeared her to moving picture patrons in every civilised country. "Sparrows" is full of the drollery and is treated with that wide range of genius for which Mary Pickford is famous. Comedy and pathos intermingle throughout the film, keeping one's emotions in constant action. Mary was never more humorous, more enchanting, more brilliant and inspiring. She entertains, she entrances, she makes life vivid. Mary is picturesquely cast as Molly, the guardian angel of the little tribe of orphans whose lives 'are steeped iv poverty and dirt and ever dominated by a sinister old miser. A strong supporting programme has also been arranged, whilst the Orchestra De Luxe will render a' delightful musical score. The box plans are now open at The Bristol Piano Co., Aitken's Book Arcade, or ring theatre teleI phone.
