Lovers of music will be interested in the announcement that Miss Althen Stock, one of the most brilliant pianoforte students at the Sydney Conservatoriumin recent years, has consented to give; a recital in Wellington at an early'date. Miss Stock studied at the Conservatoi-ium for six years under Miss Myrtle Meggy, a famous exponent of Shumahn, and gained a performers diploma, the highest honour of the institution, which:-is a certificate of professional proficiency,, both to teach and to perform.
