PIANOFORTE RECITAL.
Lovers of music will be interested in the announcement that Miss Althen Stock, one of the most brilliant pianoforte students at the Sydney Conservatoriumin recent years, has consented to give; a recital in Wellington at an early'date. Miss Stock studied at the Conservatoi-ium for six years under Miss Myrtle Meggy, a famous exponent of Shumahn, and gained a performers diploma, the highest honour of the institution, which:-is a certificate of professional proficiency,, both to teach and to perform. Miss, Stock-has taken a 'leading part in some of the big concerts at the Coiiservatorium, including one given to the Kendall String Quartette, and has the experience o£ playing r the Beethoven Concerto in C Minor and Shumann's Ro-: mantic Concerto in :A Minor; with orchestra. .; At the recital.Miss Stock will be assisted by 'Sirs. .Stock;-'":a soprano, also from the Coiiservatorium. : ■
