CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS

WOODVTLLE, This Day. The thirty-fourth show of the Woodville A. and P. Association opened in glorious weather, before a large attendance. The entries are good. The dairy classes are a feature and the competition is keen, especially in the Jersey and sheep "sections, where the standard is high. Besulta of competitions:—Pony leaping: H. M. Blunden's Dewit, 1; B. M'Farlane's Sammy, •2; W. J. M'Dowell's Trixie, 3. Best boy rider: J. Peebles. /Best girl rider: J. Banks. Maiden leaping competition: Mrs. h. K. Manson's Ragtime, 1; C. Mackie's Lady Waewaepa, 2; Miss Maher's Workman, 3. Jumping (steeplechase style): F. Laird's Hailstorm, 1; Miss Butherford's Kitty Machree, 2; T. Mercer's Gilgai, 3.
Championships.—Sheep: Lincoln—W. H. Gaisford, both. Romney Marsh ewe: F. W. Blatchford. Southdown ram: D. O'Brien (Pahiatua); reserve, Lickner Bros. (Dannevirke). Ewe: J. S. Nelson (Woodville); reserve, D. O'Brien. Cattle: Shorthorn bull—E. V. Brown (Weraroa), Matangi Glaxo, 1; reserve, J. Delahaye (WoodviUe), Matangi Gertrude's Prince. Shorthorn cow: B. V. Brown's Waimea Lilac; reserve, J. Delahaye's Strawberry's Own. Dairy cattle: W. T. Williams (Te Aute), Holly Oaks Annie. Jersey bull: A. C. Lovelock (WoodviUe), Pinewood Golden Soumise; reserve, Mrs. I. W. Spiers's Kuku Napper. Cow: B. L. Horn's Kuku Brooklet; reserve, B. L. Horn's Kuku Duchess. Gaisford Cup points: Dairy cattle—C. Jones, 29; J. Murray, 27. Oete trophy points for crossbred and fat sheep was won outright by the Ormond Estate.
