LONDON, 22nd January. Mrs. Fox Pitt, a London dress designer, engaged by ' Paquin's, Ltd., West End dressmakers, at a princely salary and many perquisites, sued the firm for breach of contract • signed in 1923. ."■..■■■•
The contract was cancelled at a moment's notice in 1925, .the directors alleging that Mi's. Pox Pitt secretaly, charged five apprentices a premium of £•20 in addition to £30 each which the firm charged. Mrs. Pitt asserts that the directors assented to her charging the extra £20 for distribution among the supervisors to induce them to teach the . apprentice? thoroughly. . :>'-.- •
Mrs. Fox Pitt was awarded £1895 damages. , : '.
