RETURN FARE: Ist and 2nd class, from AVellington 8s lid, 6s Id, from Masterton 4s Bd, 3s Id. ON Ist JANUARY, trains for Featherston run _as follows:—Wellington dep. 6.35 and 8.30 a.m. On 3rd January, Wellington dep. 7.50, 8.30 a.m. On Ist and 3rd January, Woodville dep. 6.45 a.m., Masterton dep. 9.20 a.m. RETURN TRAINS run as follows:— FOR WELLINGTON: Featherston dep. 5.30, 6.55, 7.48 p.m. on Ist January, and 5.40 and 7.48 p.m. on 3rd January. FOR MASTERTON: Featherston dep. 5.55, 7.42 p.m., both days. The 7.50 a.m. Wellington-Woodville train will not take passengers for stations beyond Lower Hutt up to Featherston. This train will not stop at Featherston on Ist January. The 6.35 a.m. train will not stop at Kaiwarra, nor between Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt, nor at Mangaroa. The 8.30 a.m. train will not take passengers for Upper Hutt or between Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt. . MARTON RACES AT FEILDING. Special cheap excursion tickets to Feilding, available for return until 4th January, will be obtainable at Wanganui, Taihape, Foxton, Paekakariki, Danrierirke, Masterton, and intermediate stations on Ist and 3rd January. Return fares, Ist and 2nd class, from principal stations: —Marton, 3s lid, 2s 6d; Foxton, 7s, 4s 9d; Masterton, 15s sd, 10s Od; Dannevirke, 9s Id, 6s 2d. These tickets will be issued by morning trains only, and will not be available by express and relief express trains. Train for Palmerston North leaves Paekakariki 7.25 a.m. Ist January, 6.11 a.m. 3rd January; Otaki 8.14 a.m. Ist, 7.26 a.m. 3rd; Levin 8.46 a.m. Ist, 8.20 a.m. 3rd. Connects with train leaving Palmerston North 10.25 a.m. Ist, 10.1 a.m. 3rd, for Feilding. Return train leaves Feilding 5.34. p.m. on Ist and 3rd January; connecting train for Paekakaviki and AVellington leaves Palmerston 6.5 p.m. both days. Train for Palmerston North leaves Dannevirke 9.6 a.m., Masterton 7.45 a.m. on Ist, 7.0 a.m. on 3rd (change at Woodville). Connects at Terrace End with train for Feilding. Return train leaves Feilding 5.34 p.m. and connects at Terrace End with train for Dannevirke and Masterton. On 25th, 26th, 27th December, and Ist, 2nd, and 3rd January the MAIDSTONE PARK PICNIC GROUNDS AT UPPER HUTT will be open to the public holding railway tickets to Upper Hutt. Admission: Adults 3d, children half-price. Tickets obtainable at entrance to Grounds. These Grounds are also open to the public on ordinary days during the season.
