(By Telegraph.) (Special to • The Evening Pott.") DUNEDIN, This Day. Regarding tho. statement made bjj Dr. Hansen, principal of tho Christchurch Technical College,' that thero was'a trend among girls to'swing'back towards domestic rather than commercial work, Mr. Alridgc, principal of the Dunedin Technical College, said that as far as Pgnedin was concerned it could not bo said that the girls, were deserting the office for tho home. At present only" 64 girls'were taking the domestic course Ho pointed out, how? ever, that nearly half the girls leaving secondary .and technical schools took up. work connected with the home, which would mako one expect that the domestic courso at the secondary and technical schools would be more popular than it was. His experience was that girls with a reasonable training ia: commercial, work were in great demand.
