SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
Christmas entertainment began in earnest at the Sailors' Friend Society on Tuesday, when Miss I. Santon presented a delightful programme to seafaring guests. The performers were Misses Jean M'Leod, Hall, Tui M'Leod, Wallwork, Stanton, and I. Stanton, Messrs. E. B. James, Story, -Tordon, and Peterson. Misses Stanton were at he piano. Mr. Moore spoke on "The Season." The competitions prizes came from Karori, Kelburn, and Hastings, and went to the men in port. Special attractions of Christmas and the New Year were announced by th» missioner.
