EASTBOURNE FERRY SERVICE
A special Christmas and. New Year time-tabie has been arranged for the Eastbourne ferry Service, notice of which appears in this issue of "The Post." Late boats will be available on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, and an early boat will leave Wellington on ' Sunday mornings at 9.30 during the uiimmer. There are many facilities for lovers of summer pastimes at both Day's Bay and Eastbourne. For tennis players there is ample accommodation,. both grass ana hard courts, at both places. The Eona Bay courts at Eastbourne may be booked at the ferry office at Wellington. There is also a bowling green at Eastbourne, beautiful bush-clad hills, and extensive recreation grounds at both bays. The greatest pleasure-of all:is tho extensive sandy beach which is available for children and adults, • and which is recogmsocj as the safest in New Zealand, and the youngsters of the city can play there with very little watching and in perfect security. The T.S.S. Muritai, an up-to-date vessel, with wide promenade and sun decks, has been specially re-commissioned fo» the summer holidays, and will cross the harbour at regular intervals each day. Arrangements may be made for picnic parties and moonlight excursions on application to the ferry office, at special concessions, which are unequalled in the Dominion.
