ELLERSLIE TRACK WORK

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Thin Day. Eain fell practically throughout the training operations at Elleralie this morning. Before the work started a steady drizzle set in, and except for a brief respite about the breakfast inter* val, did not stop. The outside of tho course proper (outside, three trestles) was in good ordor, despite the weather, though the going became slower as tho morning progressed. Before breakfast Commendation: beat Many Colours over four furlongs in 62 4-ssec. ■ . ■

High Pitch ran a similar distance in 59scc.

Agrion was in front of Eulali»at.the end of three furlongs in 39sec. Rapine did a round in 2min lsec. He was picked up by Star Stranger at the seven furlong post, and they covered the last seven furlongs in lmin 33see —a good gallop. Town Bank and Battlement, together, went a round in 2min 9sec.

Chairman and Merry Damon did five furlongs in lmin (i 3-ssec. Stormy covered seven furlonga in lmin 33 l-ssec.

Decoy Bird and Mimetic ran home from the new five furlongs post in lfflin 4 3-ssec. .

Flying Juliet galloped four furlongs in 50 l-ssec.

To Kara and Papatu were together at the end of seven furlongs, the last five being dono in lmin 9 4-ssec-

Grand Knight went five furlongs untimed.

Aura turn covered . five furlongs in lmin ,8 2-ssec.

Princess Ronnie was in front of Danae and Charlady over soven furlongs in lmin 33 2-ssec. Automiie was just in front of Master Doon, with Cawnpore last, over four furlongs in 51se<). Shirley galloped five furlongs in lmin ssec.

Dorec and Thaw took lmin 7 4-ssec for a similar distance.

Count Cavour and Footfall were together in a round in 2min ssec. Areheno was in f font of Betty Bruce over six furlongs in lmin 26 2-ssoc. Rahepoto, Serang, Nassock, and White Bird hopped off at the old five furloiiga, but in the straight White Bird's saddle Slipped and he lost his rider. He interfered with Serang and Nassock, leaving Rahopoto to finish wo'H in front in lmin BTI-sfiee.8 Tl-sfiee. .

Ballymoy. 11. and. Dave wore in front of Pavo at the end of six furlongs in lmin 19 4-ssee. . . .

Talisker, Laughing Prince, and Royal Ceres ran fivo furlongs untimed. Khtg Morv was in front of Muscari over four.furlongs in 53 4-ssee. Clarlnda was in front of Mask and Piuthair at the oiid of a round, in 2min 3 3-ssec. Clarinda impressed most. Paperchase did . four furlongs in 53 3-sscc.

The Thorn and Lysartder were together at tho end of four furlongs in 50 2-ssec.

Limited galloped five furlongs in lmin 5 2-ssec.

Kamehameha and Fair Abbey went a round in 2miri 6scc.

Quondong, Modest Boy, and Hairera were in front of Royal Picture over seven furlongs in lmin 35 l-ssec. Flying Tresses ran four furlongs in 52 l-ssec.

Aussie did three furlongs in 39 l-ssec. Alloway and Ruakura covered seven furlongs in lmin 34occ. Magna Ch'arta did'a similar distance in lmin 32 3-ssec.

Deluge went four furlongs in 51 4-5 sec, Euanui taking 51sec. Mandane, alone, did a round in 2mm Sscc, going well. After breakfast Chamour galloped seven furlongs in lmin .32 2-ssec., Corinthie, Chips, and Whakarite went five furlongs from the new post in lmin 6sec.

Golden Wedding covered half a mile in 55 l-ssec.

Nancy Lee left seven furlongs behind in lmin 38 3-ssec on the tan. Lomint and Tanadees were together in a round in lmin 52sec.

Mosaic did steady work. Uralla went over four hurdles nicely. Royal Form and Mangahewa pleased in a similar task.

' Star Comet also jumped well over four hurdles.

Maunga and Day Bell went over six hurdles, the former getting a good break on Day Bell at the start and finishing well in front. Archibald and Gauntlet went over four hurdles, the former pleasing the better. ■
