An especially interesting evening w» spent at the fortnightly meeting of the Wellington Camera Club, when Messrs. J. W. Jones and ,M. J. Pickles *»w<*£ number of motion pictures, ""^-^f in the scenic resorts of the North Island Mr Jones had carried his tana cinema camera to the Burnmit of Mount Egmont and to the ther mal regions during a holdmy tour A "close up" of one of the big geyserswas so distinct that the camera must have been be-spattered with the boiling water These views, ana especially some ot tne Nuka Falls and the Aratiatia Rapids on 'the^Waikato River, were especially interesting, not only from a scenic point ot view but also as an indication of wliat can be accomplished with a hand cinema, camera. Various other views taken in ana about Wellington, on the Tararuas, and m the Orongorongo Valley were also shown by Mr. Jones, and briefly described By Mr Pickles, both. o£ whom wew thanked for the-interesting and informative evening they had provided. During the Christmas and New Year holidays the members of the club will be busy with their cameras in various holiday resoiis throughout the Dominion, m places as wide apart and varied as Kotorna ana Milford Sound. .
