Taylor's 100 in the Auckland Cricket Association's senior games on Saturday, there were two big innings in the Suburban Association 's matches. Going in third wicket down against Ellerslie, L. Martin made 149 not out of Harbour Board's total of 283. While the following batsman reached double figures Martin hit ten sixes •■ and nine fours. H. Catterall, opening for Ponsonby against Glen Eden, was still at the wickets four hours later with an unbeaten 128 (two fives "and seventeen fours) when the last wicket fell at 309.
