ACCIDENTALLY DROWNED
CORONER COMMENDS GALLANT GIRL.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day. At the inquest on Henry Stephen Baker, tho well-known cricketer, drowned at Tomahawk Beach on 7th November, the Coroner commended the efforts of the deceased's six companions, who acted bravely and carried on their efforts at rescue nn.il the limits of exhaustion. He commended particularly tho courage of a young woman, Sheila Neilson, An unpleasant feature was the fact that some of the bystanders did not give much assistance, whilst tho girl stood up to her shoulders in the water holding the rope for three j men at its other end. So returned a [ verdict of accidentally drowned.
