CASE AGAINST PEARSON.
(United Press Association.—Copyright.) LONDON, sth December. The hearing of the cast against Heskcth Pearson has been resumed. Allen Lane said that Pearson told him he had written the book from Sir Eennell Rodd's diary with Rodd's approval. The hearing was adjourned until next Saturday, when it is expected Sir Rcnnull Rodd's evidence will be taken.
Pearson is charged with false pretences. His book, "The Whispering Gallery," rmrported to givo intimate descriptions of what transpired in the British Cabinet room in the early days of tne war, and contained quotations of alleged conversations between some of tho more prominent personages. When tho Press expressod doubts as to tho voracity of the book it was withdrawn from publication.
