PROTEST BY BISHOPS
HERTZOG'S NATIVE BILLS
"WHITE FEAR OF BLACK MAN."
(United Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 3rd December, 10 a.m.) CAPETOWN, 2nd December. The bishops of tho Anglican Church have issued' a statement condemning General Hertzog's Native Bills as being aimed at upholding white civilisation at the expense of the native peoples. ', They say that tho Bills are inspired by .white fear of the black man, and that they-are inconsistent with, the principles which might govern legislation affecting native races.
