Hannan, the New Zealand sculling champion, stated in a Press interview that his previous announcement that he would challenge Goodsell for the world title was somewhat premature. While this might eventuate as desired by his supporters, it depended in a large degree on financial arrangements, domestic matters, and a business appointment awaiting his acceptance.
