In the Sheffield Shield match Now South Wales in the second innings made 475 (Steele 130, Kippax 131, Jackson 86). Queensland in the second innings had no wickets down for 5 runs when stumps were drawn. The weather was fine and warm and the wicket good. The batting of Steele and Kippax was not spectacular, but the score mounted steadily, despite frequent changes in the bowling. Shortly after lunch Steele was dismissed. He played a superb innings. A little later Kippax was out. His innings was marred by two chances, one in the twenties and the other in tho eighties. The scoring then became painfully slow, until Jackson commenced to hit out, scoring freely. Queensland's fieldiug again was very bad, as it has boen since the beginning of the game, many chances being missed.
