The Feilding Jockey Club's Spring Meeting opened to-day. Tho weather is dull but fine, following the months of wet weather. The track is very heavy and holding. There is a large attendance, and the fields are big. Results:— Waituua Hurdles, of 300 soys; one mile and three-quarters.—7 Gauntlet, 9.9, 1; 1 Nukumai, 12.11, 2; 2 Curawock, 10.3, 3. Scratched: Enare, Tompean. Won by two lengths, same distance between second and third. Time, 3min 21 l-ssec. AorrMigi Trial Plate, of 150 soys; six furlongs.—2 General Wai, 8.0, 1; 4 Molto, 8.0, 2; 14 Kalos, 8.0, 3. Scratched: Rapiti, Bissac, Skypoint, Strive, Lady Estolle, Otauru Eclipse. Won by a neck, with two lengths between second and third. Time, lmin SOsoc. Feilding Cup, of 600 soys; one mile and a quarter.—s Diogenes, 8.8, 1; 9 Merry Day, 8.0, 2; 7 Kilfaire, 7.11, 3. Scratched: Civility, l-*cueus, Penman, Roadhog, Othon. Won by two lengths, with a length between second and. third. Timo, 2min 14sec.
