FOUND DROWNED
An inquest concerning the. death o£ Cornelius Conway, an elderly, man,, who was found drowned in the harbour near the Eastbourne Ferry' AVharf on -Thursday' morning, was held before the Coroner, Mr. W. G. KiddeU, S,M., to-day.. .-.-, .;.- Evidence was given that tile deceased was a single man,, about 68 or 70 year, of a"-c, living alone at 14, May street. He had' no relatives in New Zealand, and. until - recently had been employed, on sewerage work by the"-City-Council.- Early on Thursday morning he was seen walk-, ing along the Ferry Wharf, and about three hours later he was found drowned. Conway'was very short-sighted; in fact, almost Wind. '; ■ ". ■■[ .' '. '......,,-, The Coroner returned a verdict that the deceased, was found drowned in .Wei-, linf ton 'Barbour- on -25th November;- there benig no evidence to show how he got into the water.
