NO LOCAL CRICKET
»__e heavy rain on Saturday made cricket out of the question. The decision, so;-far as play in the Wellington Cricket Association's matches was concerned, was l<£t to the umpires at the various grounds in;' the hope that the conditions might bejimproved by starting time. At 2 o'clock thfcre was no sign of the weather clearing, and play was abandoned for tlje day. For tlje senior matches next Saturday the allocation of grounds will differ in some respects from that made for last Saturday.
