AUCKLAND, This Day.
Two hundred and forty-seven passengers made the trip from Auckland to Waitomo by a special trial excursion. Another day excursion train from Frankton had 531 passengers aboard when it reached Botorua.
The Artillery Band played in the Wellington Public Hospital grounds yesterday afternoon, and the collection realised £4 3s.
Messrs. Kingsway, Ltd., 78 and 80, Lambton quay, wijl sell by auction, at 2 p.m., to-morrow, the contents of a sixroomed house, removed to their rooms from Tinakori road for convenience of sale.
