SPORTS MEETING TO-NIGHT
The Wellington Amateur Athletic Club's sports meeting, postponed on Saturday on account of the weather, is to be held at the Basin Reserve this evening, commencing at 5.30 o'clock. An attractive programme includes the relay contest between teams representing the Wellington' and Gisborne ladies' clubs for the Etevencaux Cup, and a special scratch race for the lady athletes. Other features of the programme are the walking race for veterans, open handicap races, cycle races, junior and club events, and races for boys and girls. It is expected that the meeting will finish about 7 o'clock.
