DUNEDIN EXHIBITION
WELLINGTON'S REPRESENTATION,
Mr. J. R. Simpson, chairman of the Wellington Committee of the N.Z. aud South Seas Exhibition, stated to-day that the deficiency on the Wellington court had been reduced from £1250 to £250. All accounts were paid immediately after the close of the Exhibition, and this was made possible by several leading business houses guaranteeing a bank overdraft.
: While the committee is naturally pleased with the response to its appeal for funds, Mr. Simpson added, there still remains the necessity of collecting £250. The committee is now asking 250 leading business people to contribute £1 each, aud feels confident that this equitable method will secure the desired result. Subscriptions can be forwarded to the secretary (Mr. Roy S. Johnston).
