A sudden drop in the tqpipcrature today was responsible for a steady fall of snow during the afternoon and through the night. Tho fall was light in the town, but the country districts carried a heavy mantle of white, and snow lay up to a foot deep. The snap is not expected to affect lambing to any extent. .
