FLASHLIGHTS FOR CROSSINGS
Tho Right lion. J. G. Coates (Minister of Railways) informed the Hon. D. Buddo ' (Kaiapoi) in the House , of Representatives on Saturday that the -Departmental engineers havo considerable data regarding the flashlight crossingsignals in uso on tho European railways. A number of these electric flashlight warning signals wero ordered by the Department somo months a_.->, and a further supply waß ordered recently for erection at suitable crossings throughout tho Dominion.
