The Department of Agriculture has received tlie following cablegram, dated tho 11th instant, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London.

Little more inquiry for New Zealand. Danish steady and others quiet. Official quotations are:—

New Zealand—Salted, 15Gs to 158s, up to 102s per cwt (ls 4%d to ls 4%d to ls 5y 4 d por lb). Unsalted, 158s to 162s per cwt (ls 4%d to ls f>V.d per lb). Other qualities, 146s to 152s per cwt (ls 3_d to ls 4_d por lb).

Australian—Salted, 1543 to 160s por cwt (ls 4_d to ls 5d per lb). Unsalted, 154s to 160s por cwt (Is 4_d to ls 5d per lb). Other dualities, 130s to 150s por cwt (ls l_d to ls id per lb).

Argentine—lsos to 156s up to 158s per cwt (ls 4d to ls 4_d to ls 4„d per lb). Other finalities, 130s to 148s per cwt (ls 2_d to ls 3_d per lb).

Canadian—lsos to 154s per cwt (ls 4d to Is 4>/_l per lb).

Irish—Creamery (dull), 144s to 148s per cwt (Is ma to ls 3_d per lb). Siberian—Dull, 130s to 138s up to 140s per cwt ,1s l_d to ls 2%tl to Is 3d per lb). Danish—Steady, 174s to 170s per cwt (ls G_d to ls 6_d per lb). CHEESE. Colonial, quiet. English—Finest farmers, stoady, 90s to 100s per cwt (10* id to 10% d per lb). Canadian—Plnest coloured, 82s to 84s per cwt (8 _d to 9d per lb); exceptional, 80s per cwt (9d per lb); white, 82s to 84s, tip to 80s per cwt (B_d to Bd to 9_d per lb). New Zealand—Coloured, 80s to 82s per cwt B.d to SJd' per lb; white, 81s to 84s per cwt (BV_l to 9d per lb).

Shipment of New Zealand produce arrived this week per s.s. Devon.

OTHER PRODUCTS.

Casein—Present quotations are: French rennet, £52 to £09; Argentine, £50, Tallow—No auction this week. Market unchanged.

V. ool—Bradford continues firm. Present quotations are for tops: 64'g (merino), warp, 4s ?._,*. (merlno '. average, 4»; 56's (super halfbred), 2s 9d; 50's (fine crossbred), 3s; 40's (prepared). Is 9d.

Hemp.—Manila market qulot »nd easier "V grade, September-November shipments " sold down to £44 10s. Sisal market dull with downward tendency. No. 1 being freely offered £42 10s to £43 spot.
