It is stated officially that New Zea« land shipments of potatoes arriving in Sydney have not only been of good quality and splendidly graded, but fret from disease, except traces of rhicotonia, which is a form of scab eommoi to potatoes the world over. A representative of the Victorian Department of Agriculture has been sent to the border to prevent New Zealand potatoes from crossing from New South' Wales to Victoria.
