SQUALLY WEATHER
TO-DAY'S FORECAST.
A disturbance located to the northeast of East Cape has boon responsible for squally conditions and heavy showers along the East Coast, and cold and changeable weather generally. The forecast issued from the Government Meteorological Office to-day is for squally weather with heavy showers for a short time on the East Coast between East Cape and Banks Peninsular. Cold and changeable conditions may be expected olsewhero, with a very cold night. South-easterly winds, moderate to strong, are predicted northward of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura, and southerlies, veering to westerlies, elsewhere. The barometer has a rising tendency.
