"THE STORY OF YPRES."
The outstanding features of the holding of the Ypres salient in marvellous reproduction again thrilled a large audience at the Opera House last night, at the second screening of "The Story of Ypres,' the film which brings home, as nothing else will to stay-at-homers, the horrors and sufferings of the men in France. The loss and recapture of Gheluvelt, the; terrific mine explosion on Messines ridge, and the Passchendaeie attack follow in wonderfully realistic presentment. The winning of the first Territorial V.C. and all the realism of hand-to-hand fighting, thrill and instruct as the film is released. It is not the ordinary cut-to-pattern film, but a definite effort to place the realities of warfare before the spectators, and it succeeds. The entertainment is cony menced by a sketch, "In an Estaminet,' by local Digger artists, ad a special orchestra under Mr. M. T. Dixon plays wellselected music.
